Earlier this week India had claimed that Pakistan was responsible for the unfortunate terrorist attack that occurred in Uri.
The attack led to the untimely deaths of 18 Indian soldiers and Pakistan believes that the accusation by India is unfounded and malicious.
Authorities from Pakistan even suggest that India came up with this cruel accusation in order to distract people’s attention from the goings on in Kashmir in which Indian forces are terrorising the people of the region.
The foreign affairs adviser to the Prime Minister of Pakistan- Sartaj Aziz had spoken on the civil unrest in Kashmir which was instigated by the murder of the militant commanding officer Burhan Wani. India have even suggested that (JeM) which stands for Jaish-e-Mohammed a Pakistan Islamic group is responsible for the attack in Uri .
However, sequel to the attack in Uri Gen. Raheel Sharif who is the Army chief of Pakistan condemned India’s reaction to the attacks and at an emergency meeting with the army Corps Commanders which was held in Rawalpindi the location of their General Headquarters he made it clear that Pakistan was prepared for any seen or unforeseen threats from their hostile neighbours.
What is even more shocking was that the accusation was made by India without any formal bi-lateral investigation of the Uri attack by both countries considering that when the Pathankot military airbase in Pakistan was attacked back in January, Pakistan made no accusation and even requested a bi-lateral investigation into the attack.
Pakistan foreign affairs adviser to the Prime Minister is alarmed by the fact that the Indian home minister, Mr. Rajnath Singh had concluded without any thorough investigation that the attack was orchestrated by terrorists from Pakistan.
It is believed by authorities in Pakistan and aptly suggested by Mr. Aziz that the accusation was simply a ploy by India to sway international public opinion as well as to take the spot light away from the horrible human rights violations and worsening political, economic and social condition in Kashmir for which India is fully responsible for.
The Kashmir situation is one that has been brewing for years now as a result of the unjust and illegal occupation of the area by India as well as the quantum cases of extra judicial killings numbering over 100,000 and counting, culminating in years of wanton abuse, unjustifiable cruelty and mass murder.
Pakistan Prime Minister had written to the UN Security Council members consisting of the U.S, U.K, Russia, France and China informing them of the incredible violation of human rights by Indian armed forces in Kashmir.
The Pakistan Prime Minister in his letters to the UN permanent security council members urged them to take decisive steps to stop the blatant abuse and deterioration of any human liberty in Kashmir caused by Indian forces.
He stressed the extremely urgent implications to human life in Kashmir, stating that any slow action or inaction by the P5 could lead to severe consequences for the people in Kashmir and asking for their full involvement to ensure an end to the crisis in the region.
